Turning back in time to 1968, sailing legend Bernard Moitessier decided Cape Horn would be the most logical route for his return trip to Europe from Tahiti.
The “Horn’s” dangerous storms and unpredictable seas have fueled many horrifying stories. Even so, Moitessier, after identifying 5 key reasons that the cards were in his favor, chose to move forward on this tempestuous route.
