Executives are feeling a job-search itch this month. Employers should take heed.
I’ve been engaged in numerous, meaty executive resume service consultations with Directors, VPs + CEOs this month, more so than in recent Decembers. These individuals all are preparing for a 2020 job hunt.
I’d say, 75% of them are securely employed, and 25% are concerned about the potential (or current) disruption at their employer caused by merger, acquisition, etc. rocking their job foundation.
Either way, they ALL are interested in putting their newly invigorated resume story feelers out in the new year to achieve opportunities that will …
➨ Propel their career forward
With companies that are …
➨ Growing vs. stagnant
➨ Culture-savvy vs. toxic
Under ownership/leadership who are …
➨ Employee-driven vs. brusque, dismissive and/or uninspiring
And, with salary/compensation plans that …
➨ Respect their value

January is the time for resolutions and goals. Executives often feel ready to at least
“see what’s out there” after the holidays are over and the new year is beginning.

Well said, Donna!
I agree that, regardless of one’s thoughts on new year resolutions, that you can’t help but to starting pondering ways to renew your life/career with the turn of the calendar year. This is especially true as we enter into a new decade.
